Consent to electronic delivery
EagleCap Legacy Wealth Partners, for each company it manages that issues you a Schedule K-1 ("EagleCap"), can deliver your investment and tax documents through the investor portal instead of by mail. Please read this before you agree. To keep a copy, choose Print or save as PDF at the top of this page.
What this consent covers
Every document EagleCap provides for the investments you hold through the portal: Schedule K-1 (Form 1065) and other tax forms, statements, reports, notices, and your signed subscription documents and agreements. It applies to all tax years until you withdraw it.
What you need
- A device with a current web browser (a recent version of Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox) and an internet connection.
- Software that opens PDF files. Most devices include it.
- An authenticator app for two-step verification, and an email address you check.
- A way to save or print PDF files, to keep your own copies.
Before you agree, the portal asks you to open a sample PDF. That shows you can open documents in the format EagleCap uses.
How you are told a K-1 is ready
EagleCap emails you with the subject "IMPORTANT TAX RETURN DOCUMENT AVAILABLE" and says how to open and print it. Each K-1 stays in the portal until at least the later of 12 months after the end of the tax year it covers, or 6 months after it is posted. You may need to print your K-1 and attach it to a federal, state or local tax return.
If that email comes back undeliverable, EagleCap mails the notice to you, or delivers it in person, within 30 days.
Paper copies
If you do not consent, EagleCap mails your K-1 and other documents to you. After you consent you can still ask for a paper copy of any document, at no cost, from Account › Document delivery or by contacting EagleCap. Asking for a paper copy does not withdraw your consent. Choosing paper does not affect your investment.
Withdrawing your consent
You can withdraw at any time in Account › Document delivery, or by writing to, emailing or calling EagleCap Investor Relations at the address below. A withdrawal takes effect on the day EagleCap receives it, and EagleCap confirms it, with that date, in writing. It does not change a K-1 already furnished electronically. If you withdraw before a K-1 is furnished, EagleCap mails you a paper K-1 by its due date, or within 30 days of your withdrawal if that is later.
When electronic delivery ends
Electronic delivery ends if you withdraw, if EagleCap closes the portal, or after the final Schedule K-1 for your last investment has been furnished. For any reason other than your withdrawal, EagleCap tells you first and then delivers documents on paper.
If what you need changes
If a change to the hardware or software needed to open your documents could stop you from opening them, EagleCap tells you first and asks you to consent again before it delivers another K-1 electronically.
Keeping contact details current
Keep your email address current in Account › Profile and contact. If EagleCap's contact information changes, EagleCap will tell you.
